Battlers

The girls were back in action against last years runners up as a tough start and didn't really get going at the start of the game. We were taking time to adapt to the speed and Curzon were on top. The one great aspect was that we were battling for every ball and after going 1 behind the girls showed a new resilliance. Kate Moran maturing in defence, Nat Greg - miss dependable, Gena improving all the time kept the Curzon team to half  chances in front of debutant Zoe's goal. Hayley, Kinsa and KT were competing in midfield and the game was more balanced as Nat Giblin tool over in midfield. Alex was a constant outlet and a great ball in from Hayley onto Ash who's little touch found Alix wide on the right of Curzons box and her cross shot was just wide of the Curzons post.

1-0 at half time but well in the game.

The girls up the game at the start of the second half as they were rewarded wth a goal from Alix. I MISSED it coz I was at the Burger van and Nat Gregs mum missed it coz she was talking. But we witnessed a fantastic display in the second half, Bryony was great at the back and when we were put under pressure we stood up to it but we also created more chances as the team battled with a very strong team in several ways. As we finish this write up just to mention the debutants, Zoe who is so enthusiastic and Olivia who is a year young but was very good in her first game. The girls were fantastic and we know they will get better as the team continues to develop. Remember two years agob we lost 18-0 to this team, what a difference - well done girls.
