At last Heyside Juniors have run thier first Open Competition

    Although Heyside Juniors have run Comps. when sv AWC have been over we have never been in a position to run our own open Competition. This has changed with our link up with Springhill School. John Mason, Site Manager has been instrumental in pulling this together. Designed to be a pre season tournament to help teams get ready for the new season we started with Under 13's and Under 9's giving a combination of 11 a side and 6 a side football. 

   The whole thing was pulled together in 3 months through John's hard work, Andy Wain's enthusiasm and Mark Senior's Secretary skills.

 John Mason with a big smile was pleased to say ' Today has been a great success with some positive feedback from all the teams and some great football played' .

Steve Grice - Chairman of the Juniors said ' It's been great to tie up with Springhill High School as it will greatly help in the development of the club with excellent facilities added to our existing sites, to be able to run a full scale comp. for the first time is a great boost and I would like to thank the band of helpers who pulled this together'

For The record - Heyside JFC won the Under 13's Competition and Prestwich Marauders won the Under 9's Competition

Next week it's the Heyside Angels Competition at the same venue for Under 10's, Under 12's, Under 14's, Under 16's
